I will work with families to create a customized package to fit their specific needs and budget. 

Here is a list of services that address the four parts of the college application and transition process.

WHEN:  Freshman, Sophomore, Junior or Senior Year

  • Develop a plan for a successful college transition by reviewing student’s academic record, current modifications and accommodations, and other relevant information.  (Includes discussion of the differences between IDEA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the ADA, and how to access accommodations in college).

  • Assess student’s learning strengths & challenges, interests, talents and preferences.

  • Determine the student's priorities and needs for college.

  • Review transcript and advise student on course selection, extracurricular and summer activities.

WHEN: ​ Sophomore, Junior, and  Senior Year

  • Assess student’s learning strengths & challenges, interests, talents and preferences.

  • Determine the student's priorities and needs for college.

  • Review transcript and advise student on course selection, extracurricular and summer activities.

  • Develop a plan for standardized testing.

  • Build a balanced list of colleges and programs that are a "Right Fit" for the student.

  • Create a plan for effective college visits.

  • Discuss financial aid options.

  • Advise student and parents on final college choice.

WHEN: ​Starting Summer Before Senior Year

  • Create timelines to keep students and parents on track with application deadlines.

  • Coach students through entire application process.

  • Assist with resume writing. 

  • Assist with brainstorming, drafting and revising of essays.

WHEN:  Summer Before College through Freshman Year of College

  • Strengthen study strategies, including:​

    • Effective Reading

    • Note Taking

    • Test Preparation

    • Time Management

  • Discuss Self-Advocacy Skills.

  • Review strategies for accessing accommodations and other resources.
